How much does an EPC cost?
From £70 (homes up to 4 bed / 99 m²). For an exact quote for your property, fill in the quick form and we will get back to you.
How soon can you do it?
We aim to arrange your assessment as soon as possible and return your certificate promptly. Submit your details and we'll be in touch to book a convenient time.
Do you cover my area?
Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Leeds and across South & West Yorkshire. Not sure? Enter your postcode in the form and we'll confirm.
Are your assessors qualified and accredited?
Yes, accredited with Elmhurst Energy, and every certificate is official and lodged on the government register.
How do I book, and what happens on the day?
Book online or by phone. The assessor does a quick, non-invasive survey (walls, roof, windows, insulation, heating), typically around 20-45 minutes.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Just access to all rooms, the loft, boiler/controls and meters. Any insulation, boiler or window paperwork can help your rating.
Do I legally need an EPC?
Yes if selling or renting out (or building new), it must be available as soon as you market the property.
I'm a landlord, what rating do I need to let?
Currently at least an E (unless a valid exemption applies); we will advise the most cost-effective way to get there if needed.
How long does an EPC last and can I reuse my current one?
10 years; if you have a valid one under 10 years old, you can usually reuse it.
What will I receive?
An official EPC (A-G rating + potential + recommendations); we send you a copy and lodge it on the register.
Do you do commercial EPCs?
Yes. Get in touch and we will arrange it.
What if my property gets a low rating?
It comes with clear recommendations to improve it and cut bills. Happy to talk options.
